This book is outstanding! This allegorical children's story captures in such a simplistic way the Biblical story of the fall of man and the resulting rebellion and disobedience towards the King of creation along with the King’s gift of redemption provided by His Son. The technique used in writing this book by Dr. Sproul provides easy discussion between parent and child regarding the fallen nature of man and the need for a savior. This book would be excellent to supplement reading during Christmas time with children of all ages. The images that Justin Gerard, the book’s Illustrator, drew are simply breathtaking and brilliantly contrast light and dark on each page. I appreciate the section in the back of the book that is directed at parents to guide them in taking the child into the scriptures for further reflection.
